Consultant Analyst – Transport / Highways

Permanent / Southampton / South / £23000 - £27000

Have you proven analysis, report writing and presentation skills within the Highways or Transportation sector? Working with a leading UK consultancy you will deliver assessments and evaluations on highways technology schemes. You will be part of a strong technical team, working on a variety of Highway / Motorway / Traffic Management Projects and over time you will be expected to take responsibility for managing projects. Suitable Candidates will have previously worked in a highways environment e.g. Peek Traffic, AIM, Serco, Siemens Traffic, Halcrow, Highways Agency, Local Authorities, Atkins, WSP, Mouchel. You will be a candidate experienced in the following fields: - ITS strategy development and delivery - Monitoring and evaluating the Highways Agency’s Active Traffic Management system (ATM) - HA framework technical consultancy and research projects - Development of HA VMS policy - Developing ITS Strategy and strategic visions for local, national and international clients - Transport information dissemination - ITS system integration - Traffic signal related projects including work at Heathrow Airport - Urban related projects including car park management systems, bus priority and real time passenger information systems, journey time improvements Transportation is a massively growing sector with technological leaps through huge government investment and with growth comes excellent career opportunities.
