A market leading engineering consultancy are looking for a Design Engineer to provide design, procurement and supervision to all aspects of communications / electronics / electrical and technology projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for engineers, preferably with a systems / electrical / electronic / Power / Telecom / Fibre/ Cooper / PDH / SDH / DWDM / Transmission background, who have an aspiration to develop their career in a multi-disciplined technology environment. As an Engineer, you will be required to work as part of the Design team reporting directly to the Design Manager on all major Projects. You will apply (and where necessary, develop) an understanding of the engineering and management techniques associated with communication / electrical / system biased and multi-disciplined projects. You will be accountable for the design of all major projects within the company. Preferably you will have experience as a designer or Systems engineer for Highways Agency / NMCS2 Design Schemes within the Intelligent Transport sector, alternatively you may have been a field based / hands on engineer on Highways Comms equipment or have been a Telecom Designer / External Planner for a Telco operator. Knowledge of DMRB is would be preferred but not essential.
