Consultant Project Engineer

Our client are a remarkable business, growing aggressively in the downturn and unrivalled within their sector, delivering DESIGN, PROJECT and CONSULTANCY services (SYSTEMS / ELECTRICAL / ELECTRONIC / COMMUNICATIONS schemes also known as INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS) to Transportation clients (Highways Agency / Local Authorities / Transport Scotland / DfT). The CONSULTANT PROJECT ENGINEERS we seek will work closely with clients to RESEARCH, DESIGN, PROJECT MANAGE and DELIVER projects ranging from feasibility studies and strategic reviews to complete £MULTI-MILLION system implementations encompassing Power, SCADA, Telecom (PDH / SDH / IP), CCTV, RTPI, Database, Software technologies. You must have superior interpersonal and analytical skills and be comfortable writing reports and delivering results to clients. Good Project Management skills will be a bonus, as would any qualifications in PRINCE2 or PMI. Preferably you will be degree qualified and have previous Transportation experience (Consultancies / Systems providers – Peek Traffic, Siemens, telent) though SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE COME FROM, Telecom Manufacturers (Ericsson / Nortel / Marconi / Nokia / Motorola), Telecom Operators (BT, CWC, COLT, Virgin Media, ntl:, Telewest, Orange, Vodafone), Defence (BAe , Thales, QinetiQ), Environmental, Automotive Manufacturers, (Jaguar, Bentley, Ford).
