Database Designer / Developer (Sybase, SQL Server or Oracle)

Permanent / Glasgow / Scotland / £36,000 - £45,000

A leading consultancy is looking for an experienced Database Designer / Developer with a minimum of 5 years experience using Sybase, SQL Server or Oracle. You will have a successful track record in the delivery of innovative software solutions in a project environment is required. The candidate shall demonstrate a recent track record in the modeling and design of new databases (Sybase, SQL Server or Oracle) from client’s requirements. The successful candidate would be expected to work with minimal supervision, taking client requirements through analysis to the implementation stage. They will be part of the support team providing back-up to the development team to maintain operational systems distributed across the UK. You will be able to relate to clients as well as provide support during the project-winning phase by presenting benefits in words and in client presentations You will have 5 years experience dealing with some or all of the following key areas: • Data Analysis • Data Modeling • CASE Tools such as PowerDesigner • Sybase/Oracle/SQL Server • Performance and Tuning You must be degree qualified in Computer Science or a similar industry related degree.
