Business Development Manager / Solutions Consultant (IT Sales)
Permanent / London / South / £35,000 to £40,000 (OTE - £55,000 to £60,000)
Business Development Manager (IT Sales). IT Solutions Consultant. IT Sales Manager.
The position is based in central London, paying a basic salary of £35,000 to £40,000, with an OTE of £55,000 to £60,000, plus excellent company benefits.
You will be responsible for delivering sales of IT managed service contracts, individual and rolling IT projects and IT consultancy to mid-market and SME clients. This is a broad role for a talented ambitious Solutions Consultant or Business Development Manager looking for a key position within the sales and business development functions of the Company.
Skills and Experience:
• The candidate will ideally be from a managed service background in the IT sector
• Must be hands on across the business development capability from lead engagement, new business presentations, proposal development through to contract closings, interfacing with technical staff within our business, and finalising solution design
• Experience as an IT Solutions Consultant, Business Development Manager or Pre-Sales Consultant who may come from a leading IT consultancy, a managed services provider or even from the advisory team of a “Big 4” infrastructure consultancy team would be a bonus Familiarity with technologies such as core Microsoft technologies, virtualisation and Citrix would be a significant advantage
• Familiarity with technologies such as core Microsoft Technologies, Virtualisation and Citrix would be a significant advantage. The candidate must demonstrate previous commercial knowledge of these technologies as part of his/her role
Responsibilities:
• Delivering sales of IT managed service contracts, individual and rolling IT projects and IT consultancy to mid-market and SME clients
• Spectrum of business development capability from lead engagement, new business presentations, proposal development through to contract closings, interfacing with technical staff within our company, and finalising solution design
• Meeting measurable targets through balancing the long term strategic interests of the business and the need for active revenue growth
